Another birthday bites the dust/ Ghostock ahead!

Well,  I'm offically a year older.  So far things are fairly calm.  I've had a few birthday wishes at work, which was nice.  I told Hubby that I wanted to go eat dinner at Mellow Mushroom (pizza joint) and he said that he was going to cook dinner at home.  I hate to sound bitchy, but it IS MY birthday and he specifically ASKED me last night what I wanted for dinner!!!!!!!!  How can he be so selfish and such a jerk to deny me a decent birthday dinner where I want to go eat?  If this nonsense continues this evening, he'll find himself sitting home alone while I head over to a club to go hear a friend of mine sing.  Being a b**** CAN be a good thing though.  I realize that we are leaving for Savannah tomorrow, but I'd like to do what I, yes I, want to do on my birthday.

We are headed to Ghostock 4 tomorrow in Savannah.  Here's a little bit of what Ghostock is all about. Ghost Hounds paranormal research network is hosting our 4th bi-annual "GhoStock" conference this weeked - February 1st - February 4th in beautiful historic Savannah, Georgia.

Even if you can't "be there" you can still be part of the fun! Go to http://ghosthounds.com to view our live, streaming webcast of convention highlights! Join our chatroom and it becomes an entirely interactive 2-way experience! You'll be able to see and hear us, and we'll be able to read and respond to your feedback!

Webcast starts Friday February 2nd through Sunday February 4th at

I went to Ghostock 2 last year.  It was fantastic!!!  We'll be doing a paranormal investigation on Friday night at a secret location.  You should stop by Ghosthounds and watch some of the conference.  There will be some interesting and fun guest speakers as well.  Take care and I'll see you on the flip side.

    My birthday/Ghostock 4

This is the last day I will EVER be 35.  There's no going back-only forward as time does.  Hubby and I are headed to GhoStock 4 this weekend in Savannah.  We are creatures of habit and we're staying at our same Inn.  We are doing a paranormal investigation at a truly SECRET LOCATION.  Our investigation team was selected to go to an awesome location but we have been told that we are never to disclose this certain location.  Let's just say that I've always wanted to go there, not just to investigate but also to look around.  TAPS is going to have a representative there as well.  This is going to be an outstanding birthday weekend for me as my 36th year of life begins tomorrow.  I've been containing some rants, but I'll tackle those later.  Take care

    Brief update

Bella's doing fine these days.  We got the new cabinet and sink installed in the bathroom.  My next project is to paint the whole bathroom.  We're going to replace the shower and put new flooring in, but I'm going to wait a while until I finish painting.  I didn't realize how big the project would be, but I'm into it!  Work is the same and I'm still loving it.  Have a great day and take care!

2007-A new year with lots of changes

As the new year has finally started to settle in, I'm able to enjoy all of the new shows on TV.  Ghost Whisperer is back with new episodes as are Heroes, Ghost Hunters and, I hope, Jericho.  Survivor should be starting back in a few months which should be exciting as well.

Bella is doing great.  She's still not housebroken, but she's learning very well.  She got her 2nd ever shave last weekend and she looks so wonderful!  I'll have to post some pictures when I can get her to settle down enough.  She LOVES our little kitten and the amazing thing is that Tiger Baby loves Bella just as much!  Lily can't stand the dog, but she's always been really skiddish and finicky.  Weenie is doing so much better but she doesn't like being separated from her other pals.  At this point, we're just too afraid of them trying to jump on her back and hurt her again.

A few friends of mine have just started Trooper School this week.  I wish them the best of luck as I've heard how tough it is.  Think of Basic Training at its worst and there you have it.  Most people drop out within the first week and so far, after 3 days, no one has dropped out so I hope they all graduate with flying colors.

We are getting ready to remodel the bathroom.  New sink and cabinets as well as a new mirror and medicine cabinet.  We will also be replacing the shower.  I want something MUCH nicer and condusive to the relaxing environment I want to create.  I can see that 2007 is going to be the year of change for us.  As the year goes on, there will be a lot of changes made to our lives and well-being.  Hubby and I are both ready to see these changes about to be made.

I remember being terrified that I would never live to see 20.  It was just a childhood fear grown from nothing, but when I turned 30 I cried because 1) I was told that I was finally "OLD"  and 2) I never imagined that I would ever hit 30.   When I turned 35, I was so happy and now another year is about to pass ( in just 3 weeks).    Take Care!!!!

Football is over (nearly) so bring me some good shows!

Now that the new year is upon us, I'm ready for some of my favorite shows to come back.  I never thought I would find two great shows in the new fall line ups!  I absolutely LOVE Jericho and Heroes.  I know most people are afraid to try new shows, I included, but I have found 2 fantastic shows!  Sci Fi channel is supposed to be airing the next 7 episodes of Ghost Hunters and Court TV is airing the second season of Haunting Evidence around the first part of the summer.   I feel safe in assuming that Ghost Whisperer is done for another year unless they are going to air more new episodes sometime soon.  I'm not a huge American Idol fan, but I like the "try-out" episodes with the really BAD singers.  LOL  When Grey's Anatomy came on, Hubby and I watched a few episodes, but it didn't really hold my attention.  Kind of a sexed up ER which I watched for YEARS until all the originals left the show.  I thought I would like Desperate Housewives, but I haven't really caught on to the show.  I think it's like a Twin Peaks thing where you HAD to watch it from the beginning or else get lost.  Lost is another show that Hubby and I watched the first few weeks, but then it got over-crowded with storylines and none of the loose ends were tied up so we quit watching it too.  What shows do you enjoy?  I might try to watch something new this year!  Take care!!!!!

    Back to the office!

It feels so great to be able to get back to work.  After a long vacation, I found myself pining to get back into the office.  I came in to a paper storm as there were papers stacked all over my desk.  Car reports, monthly and yearly paperwork loomed overhead, but I also had emails to respond to and calls to make.  My computer was full of emails and my snailmail box was overflowing!  It's nice to know I'm needed.  I finally started working on the monthly paperwork at around 1:30pm.  Whew!  No time for lunch these days as deadlines are approaching.  Inspection is next week so everything has to be done correctly.  I felt like I was taking one step forward and 3 steps back as more work piled on, but I knew I could manage it, and I did!  Most of the paperwork is completed and I plan to finish it all before going home.  I've already decided to work on the car reports tomorrow once things start to calm down.

I've been so honored to have been named MSN Space of the Week and I hope that all of you who have stopped by this week will come by more often.  I'm off to finish my work day.  Take care!!!!

    Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year!!!  Hard to believe it's 2007, but time keeps marching on.  I woke up with a headache this morning, but it was actually due to the LACK of alcohol in my system.  I was up late watching Lewis Black's "Red, White and Screwed" on t.v.  I just love that man's mind!  He's hilarious anyway, but I love political humor and Mr. Black is just a riot!  I'm going to get his book and allow myself a little more time in the laughter department.  What better way to start off 2007 then to laugh!

Speaking of laughter, I found this and thought I would share it.  Hubby and I have had discussions about "pulling the plug" for years.  Neither of us wants to just lie there, so just yank the cord.  I do think we all need a living will and if it's okay, I'm going to use this one.  :) TAKE CARE!!!

Someone sent this to me and I thought it was a bit on the funny side although the Living Will IS a serious topic. "This is our form for the New Living Will. I think this is the best living will form that I've seen, it's easy to understand, and it makes perfect sense as a well. It will help cut the paper work."
